ERTi-2 vs ERTi-5 vs ERTi-7 Titanium Welding Wire
ERTi-2, ERTi-5 and ERTi-7 are different titanium filler-metal classifications. The correct choice depends on the qualified welding procedure, base metal, corrosion environment, joint design and required weld properties. Visual appearance or nominal titanium grade is not enough.

The Welding Procedure Controls
AWS A5.16 / A5.16M and ISO 24034 classify filler wire and rods, but project qualification controls the actual filler, shielding gas, heat input, cleaning, joint preparation, interpass condition and acceptance tests.
Choose the Delivery Form
Spool wire requires diameter, spool dimensions and weight, cast, helix and layer winding suitable for feeding. Straight TIG rods require diameter, cut length, straightness and protected bundles. Coil wire requires coil dimensions, weight and controlled handling.
Protect Titanium From Contamination
Clean surfaces and moisture-resistant packaging are important because oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, grease, dirt and inadequate shielding can impair titanium weld quality. Batch and heat traceability should be maintained through storage and use.
