Product Detail

Product Introduction

Source ASTM B265 titanium plate and sheet in commercially pure and alloy grades, with cut-to-size supply and inspection documents. Final supply is controlled by the grade, specification revision, dimensions, condition, tolerance, inspection and documentation stated on the approved order.

How should an ASTM B265 titanium plate grade be selected?

Selection answer: Choose the grade from the real strength, fabrication, corrosion and application requirements. Grade 2 is a common CP fabrication baseline, Grade 5 is strength-led, Grade 7 is palladium-bearing for corrosion-selected service, and Grade 23 is Ti-6Al-4V ELI under its applicable product specification.

Selection boundary: ASTM B265, ASTM F67, ASTM F136 and AMS flat-product specifications are not interchangeable descriptions. Confirm the product form, UNS, condition, testing, documentation and application controls before substitution.

RFQ data to confirm: Send process medium and temperature or structural duty, grade, specification, dimensions, condition, forming and weld route, inspection, certificate and destination data for RFQ review.

FAQ

Does ASTM B265 define one titanium plate grade?

No. ASTM B265 covers multiple commercially pure and alloyed titanium grades. The purchase order must state the exact grade, such as Grade 2, Grade 5, Grade 7 or Grade 23, plus the required product form and dimensions.

How should sheet and plate be distinguished on an ASTM B265 order?

Name strip, sheet, plate or cut blank explicitly and provide thickness, width, length, flatness, surface, edges and tolerance requirements. An informal thickness label does not replace the product-form and dimensional requirements of the standard.

What information is needed to quote ASTM B265 titanium plate?

Provide the ASTM B265 revision, grade and UNS, plate, sheet or cut-blank form, thickness, width, length, quantity, condition, surface, flatness, edge, application, fabrication route, NDT, MTC, marking and heat traceability.
