An orifice flange assembly is part of a differential-pressure measurement system. The flange pair, tapping arrangement, orifice plate, bore, gasket, bolting and piping design must be specified together.

RFQ Checklist

  • ASME B16.36 or approved drawing and revision
  • Weld neck, slip-on or threaded type where covered
  • NPS, class, facing, bore and pipe schedule
  • Pressure tap orientation, size and thread
  • Orifice plate material, thickness, bore and edge
  • Jack screws, gaskets, bolts and accessories
  • Titanium grade, material standard, service and NDE

ASME B16.36 has defined coverage by flange type and class. Do not assume every type, class or custom tapping arrangement is included. Out-of-scope configurations need an approved design basis.

Measurement System Review

Beta ratio, straight-run requirements, pressure-tap locations and instrument design are engineering responsibilities outside material supply alone.
