Is Grade 2 stronger than Grade 5?

No. Grade 5 generally provides substantially higher strength, while Grade 2 is selected for commercially pure titanium characteristics such as ductility, weldability and corrosion resistance.

Can bar and billet be ordered interchangeably?

No. Product form, dimensions, tolerances and intended downstream processing should be stated to the applicable specification.

Certificate Review

Before release, match the heat number on the bar and packaging to the material test report, then confirm grade, specification, chemistry, tensile results, dimensions and any supplementary inspection required by the purchase order.
