Product Introduction

Titanium pipe nipples are short pipe sections used between female-threaded fittings, valves or equipment ports. The approved order must define titanium grade and source material, NPS or outside diameter, wall thickness, overall length, threaded length at each end, end configuration, thread standard, inspection and traceability.

Selection and Configuration

  • Source material: Identify the titanium pipe or tube grade, specification, wall and traceability requirements.
  • Overall and threaded length: State finished overall length and required thread length at each end; a trade size alone is incomplete.
  • End arrangement: Define both ends, thread designation and gaging, chamfers, bore condition and anti-galling procedure.
Pressure-design note: Dimensional conformity does not by itself establish pressure rating. The piping designer must verify material allowable stress, wall thickness, weld joint, corrosion allowance, temperature and governing construction code.
