How to Specify Titanium Capillary, Square and Rectangular Tube
Titanium capillary tube and non-round hollow sections are both specialty tube products, but they need different dimensional controls. Capillary tubing is driven by the small bore and cleanliness; square and rectangular tubes are driven by section geometry, corner radii, straightness and twist.

Capillary Tube Requires a Bore Acceptance Method
A nominal OD is not enough. State ID or wall tolerance, minimum passage, plug or flow test if required, bore cleaning, capping, straight length or coil dimensions and annealed condition.
Non-Round Tubes Should Be Ordered to a Drawing
Do not assume a round condenser-tube standard automatically controls square or rectangular hollow sections. Provide a drawing with dimensions, wall, internal and external radii, length, straightness, twist, squareness and manufacturing-route acceptance.
Grade Changes Manufacturing Feasibility
Commercially pure Grade 2 and higher-strength Grade 5 do not have identical forming behavior. Size, wall, radii, seam route and any heat-treatment requirement must be reviewed for the selected grade.
