Product Introduction

Titanium threaded fittings provide detachable or compact connections in corrosion-resistant piping systems. Product type must be stated explicitly because a coupling, union, elbow, tee, plug and nipple perform different functions. A complete order defines grade, configuration, NPS at every end, thread designation and gaging, pressure and temperature basis, service medium, sealing and inspection.

Selection and Configuration

  • Product function: Choose the exact fitting form according to flow direction, branch, reduction, disassembly and spacing requirements.
  • Complete end definition: State NPS, gender and thread designation at every end, including different run or branch sizes.
  • Service and assembly: Define pressure, temperature, medium, sealing method, compatible mating parts and anti-galling procedure.
Pressure-design note: Dimensional conformity does not by itself establish pressure rating. The piping designer must verify material allowable stress, wall thickness, weld joint, corrosion allowance, temperature and governing construction code.
