Product Detail

Product Introduction

Titanium clevis pins form removable pivot or linkage connections when retained by a cotter pin, clip or other approved device. The order must define grade, shank diameter and fit, usable or grip length, head geometry, cross-hole diameter and location, end chamfer, retainer, load direction, wear surfaces and inspection.

StandardISO 2341, DIN 1444 or drawing-specific clevis-pin dimensions may be referenced when expressly invoked. Their standard material requirements do not automatically define titanium; the order must separately state grade, condition, finished-pin properties, retainer and deviations.Size & FormShank diameter and tolerance, usable length, head, cross-hole diameter/location, chamfer and retainer by drawing or invoked reference
ToleranceDrawing-defined diameter, length, straightness, head concentricity and cross-hole positionSupply ConditionCold headed or machined, cross-drilled, deburred, cleaned and lot identified
InspectionAvailable controls include MTC review, shank diameter, length, head, cross-hole diameter and position, straightness, surface finish, visual condition and heat or lot traceability.DocumentsMTC, heat/lot traceability and agreed inspection reports

FAQ

How is a clevis pin different from a dowel pin?

A clevis pin is normally a removable retained connection with a head and cross-hole; a dowel pin primarily locates or aligns components through a controlled fit.

Is the cotter pin included?

Only when the RFQ defines retainer type, material, size and quantity. The complete retention stack should be specified.

Which dimensions are critical?

Shank diameter and fit, usable length, head, cross-hole diameter and location, straightness and surface finish are typically controlled.
