Product Introduction

Grade 2 titanium carriage bolts combine commercially pure titanium corrosion resistance with a domed head and square neck intended to resist rotation in a compatible joint. Define the head and neck geometry, mating hole, thread, length, grip, nut, washer, finish, service environment and finished-fastener acceptance requirements.

Typical inquiry ranges are not a stock guarantee. Final manufacturability, tolerances and test requirements are confirmed against the complete RFQ.

Selection and Configuration

  • Head and neck: Specify round-head diameter and height, square-neck width and depth, transition radii and dimensional reference.
  • Joint interface: Verify that the square neck seats correctly and that the mating material can resist installation torque without damage.
  • Thread and length: Define metric or inch thread, class of fit, nominal length below the head, grip, threaded length and end form.
Standards and ordering definition: DIN 603, ISO 8677 or ASME B18 geometry may be reviewed when expressly invoked. The purchase order must separately define Grade 2 / UNS R50400 material, condition, inspection and finished-bolt acceptance.

FAQ

What stops a Grade 2 titanium carriage bolt from rotating?

The square neck must seat in a compatible square hole or material capable of restraining rotation. Hole geometry, material strength and installation torque must be verified.

Does DIN 603 define the titanium material?

No. It may serve as a dimensional reference, while Grade 2 material, condition, tests and documentation must be stated separately.

What should an RFQ include?

Provide grade, standard or drawing, head and neck dimensions, thread, length, quantity, mating parts, finish, service conditions and certificates.
