Product Introduction

Grade 2 studs and threaded rods provide commercially pure titanium corrosion resistance for adjustable-engagement and double-ended joints. The RFQ must define each thread, overall and threaded lengths, end form, mating nuts, service environment, preload and inspection.

Typical inquiry ranges are not a stock guarantee. Final manufacturability, tolerances and test requirements are confirmed against the complete RFQ.

Selection and Configuration

  • Thread configuration: Specify fully threaded, double-end or tap-end form, class, engagement and runout.
  • Length and ends: Define overall length, thread lengths, chamfers, points or driving features by drawing.
  • Joint compatibility: Confirm mating nut grade, temperature, load, galvanic exposure, lubrication and galling controls.
Standards and ordering definition: ASTM F468/F468M may apply when expressly specified; ASME B18, DIN and project references may control dimensions. Grade 2 material condition and finished-fastener acceptance remain separately controlled.

Mechanical Properties – Grade 2 Material Reference

PropertyAnnealed Grade 2 Material Reference Minimum
Ultimate tensile strength345 MPa (50 ksi)
0.2% yield strength275 MPa (40 ksi)
