Product Detail

Product Introduction

Grade 2 Titanium Wave Washers are thin continuous rings formed with circumferential waves that provide low-profile axial spring force. Performance depends on wave count and amplitude, strip thickness, diameters, material condition, working deflection, seating and fatigue duty. Material grade alone does not define spring force.

Typical inquiry ranges are not a stock guarantee. Final manufacturability, tolerances and test requirements are confirmed against the complete RFQ.

Selection and Configuration

  • Working force: State the required axial force at installed height and the permitted deflection range.
  • Wave geometry: Define ID, OD, thickness, wave count, free height and tolerances, preferably by approved drawing.
  • Assembly duty: Specify seating faces, rotation, temperature, cycle count, corrosion environment and whether the washer is captured or guided.
Standards and ordering definition: A customer drawing or expressly invoked wave-washer specification should control geometry, installed height, load and acceptance. The purchase order must separately define titanium grade, condition, dimensions, functional requirements, tests and documentation.

FAQ

Are wave washers used for high bolt preload?

They are generally selected for light axial compensation, bearing preload or tolerance take-up. The required force and working height must be validated.

Can a flat washer replace a wave washer?

No. A flat washer distributes bearing load but does not provide the same axial spring response.

What information is needed for quotation?

Provide grade, ID, OD, thickness, wave count, free and installed height, force requirement, quantity, fatigue duty, tests and certificates.
