Product Detail
Product Introduction
Grade 5 titanium forged discs are produced from Ti-6Al-4V stock through a controlled forging and heat-treatment route for high-strength machined components. The approved order should define finished or forging dimensions, machining allowance, grain-flow or reduction requirements, heat treatment, surface condition, ultrasonic-testing class and traceability.
When should a Grade 5 titanium forged disc be used?
Selection answer: A Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V forged disc is selected as a near-shape starting blank for circular machined components where strength, grain flow and reduced machining from large bar or plate are useful.
Selection boundary: The alloy name alone does not define forging class, heat treatment, test location, ultrasonic quality or finished-part properties. Disc diameter, thickness and machining allowance must cover the approved drawing and inspection datum.
RFQ data to confirm: Provide specification and revision, Grade 5 class and condition, disc diameter and thickness, finished drawing, machining allowance, quantity or total weight, heat treatment, UT, mechanical-test orientation, MTC and traceability.
