Product Detail
Product Introduction
A titanium pipe spool is a prefabricated piping assembly produced to an approved isometric or spool drawing. It combines multiple material and dimensional standards, welding qualifications and inspection records. The RFQ must define design code, line class, titanium grade, pipe and fitting specifications, NPS/OD, wall or schedule, flange ratings and facing, dimensions, weld categories, NDE, heat treatment if any, cleanliness, pressure testing, preservation and documentation.
Product Specifications
| Product | Titanium Pipe Spool | Grade | Titanium Grades 2, 7 and 12 by project specification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Typical component references include ASTM B861 seamless pipe or ASTM B862 welded pipe, ASTM B363 welding fittings, ASTM B381 titanium forgings and the applicable flange dimensional standard. Fabrication and acceptance follow the governing piping code, approved WPS/PQR and project specification; no single material standard certifies the completed spool. | Size & Form | NPS/OD, wall or schedule, centerline and face-to-face dimensions, branch orientation and flange rotation by approved spool drawing |
| Tolerance | Project-defined linear, angular, flange-alignment, branch and end-preparation tolerances | Supply Condition | Shop-prefabricated, cleaned, capped, internally protected, supported and shipped in reinforced frames or export cases |
| Inspection | Incoming component MTC and heat identity, PMI when required, fit-up and weld map, visual inspection, PT and RT/UT where applicable, dimensions and flange rotation, surface cleanliness, pressure or leak test, passivation or cleaning records if specified and final data book review. | Documents | MTC, heat/lot traceability and agreed inspection reports |

Services We Can Provide
Product Packaging
Pipe and tube ends are capped, surfaces are wrapped where required, and bundles or export cases are identified by grade, size, heat and quantity. Typical export packaging for the same physical product form is shown below; final packing is confirmed for each order.

Application Scenarios

Chemical-process and acid-handling piping
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Marine, seawater and desalination systems
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Heat-exchanger, energy and industrial equipment connections
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.
FAQ
What information is needed to quote a titanium pipe spool?
Provide the approved isometric, design code, line class, bill of materials, component standards, grade, dimensions, weld/NDE plan, pressure-test requirements, cleanliness and documentation index.
Can a spool be certified only to ASTM B861?
No. ASTM B861 applies to seamless pipe, not the entire fabricated spool. Fittings, flanges, welding, dimensions, NDE and testing require their own governing documents.
How is titanium weld contamination controlled?
The fabrication plan should control cleaning, joint preparation, inert-gas shielding and purge, interpass temperature, filler metal, visual acceptance and repair. Discoloration acceptance must follow the approved procedure and project requirements.
