Product Introduction

A titanium eccentric reducer connects different pipe sizes with offset end centerlines so one side can remain flat. It is used where piping layout, drainage, pump suction or prevention of vapor pockets requires a controlled orientation. The RFQ must state flat-side orientation, both end sizes and walls, offset, length, weld ends, grade and inspection.

Selection and Configuration

  • Flat-side orientation: State flat side up, flat side down or drawing orientation; the fitting cannot be installed correctly from size alone.
  • Pump and process service: Coordinate orientation with suction-line design, drainage, gas release, solids and equipment nozzle elevation.
  • Offset geometry: Define large and small ends, walls, overall length, offset and end preparation to the dimensional reference or drawing.
Pressure-design note: Dimensional conformity does not by itself establish pressure rating. The piping designer must verify material allowable stress, wall thickness, weld joint, corrosion allowance, temperature and governing construction code.

FAQ

Why use an eccentric reducer?

Its offset allows one side to remain flat, supporting drainage, nozzle alignment or control of gas and liquid pockets.

Must flat-side orientation appear on the order?

Yes. State flat side up/down or provide a drawing because orientation is part of the functional geometry.

Can it be rotated during installation?

Only if the piping design permits the resulting flat-side orientation and process behavior.
