Product Detail
Product Introduction
A titanium plate flange is cut and machined from flat titanium plate rather than forged with a hub. It must not be represented as a drop-in substitute for a forged pressure-rated flange. Define the governing design code, permitted product form, grade, plate specification, DN/NPS, PN/Class, bore, outside diameter, thickness, bolt circle, holes, facing, service and engineering approval.
Product Specifications
| Product | Titanium Plate Flange | Grade | Titanium grade by RFQ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | ASME B16.5 covers cast or forged flanges and permits plate material only for blind flanges and certain reducing flanges within its scope. A flat plate-ring flange therefore requires an applicable project standard, drawing and engineering approval; a familiar bolt pattern alone does not establish a B16.5 pressure rating. | Size & Form | DN/NPS and PN/Class reference with all dimensions controlled by an approved drawing |
| Tolerance | Order-defined OD, bore, thickness, bolt-circle, hole, facing and flatness tolerances | Supply Condition | Waterjet or saw-cut plate blank followed by controlled machining, identification and sealing-face protection |
| Inspection | Source-plate MTC and heat identity, chemistry and mechanical results, OD, bore, thickness, bolt circle and holes, facing, flatness, surface and edge examination; PMI, PT or other supplementary examination when required. | Documents | MTC, heat/lot traceability and agreed inspection reports |

Services We Can Provide
Product Packaging
Machined faces, bores and bevels are protected with covers or wrapping. Flanges are separated by grade, size and heat, then secured in reinforced export cases with traceability labels. Typical export packaging for the same physical product form is shown below; final packing is confirmed for each order.

Application Scenarios

Low-pressure chemical and utility connections
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Tank, duct and equipment nozzles under project design
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Marine and industrial non-code or engineered assemblies
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.
FAQ
Is a titanium plate flange ASME B16.5 rated?
Not automatically. ASME B16.5 generally covers cast or forged flanges and limits plate material to blind and certain reducing flanges. A flat plate-ring flange needs a permitted design basis and engineering approval.
When can plate construction be considered?
It may be considered for non-code, low-pressure or project-engineered connections when the governing design explicitly permits it and all loads, gasket and bolting requirements are verified.
What must the RFQ include?
Provide material grade, source-plate standard, design code, full dimensional drawing, pressure and temperature, medium, mating joint, quantity, inspection and certificates.
