Product Detail

Product Introduction

Grade 5 machine screws provide a higher strength-to-weight ratio than commercially pure titanium fasteners. They are ordered by a complete definition of material condition, head and drive geometry, thread tolerance, length, finish and finished-fastener acceptance requirements.

Typical inquiry ranges are not a stock guarantee. Final manufacturability, tolerances and test requirements are confirmed against the complete RFQ.

Selection and Configuration

  • Pan head: Provides a broad bearing surface for covers, instruments and equipment panels.
  • Cheese head: Offers a cylindrical profile where head diameter and tool access are controlled.
  • Drive selection: Cross recess, six-lobe, slotted and drawing-specific drives require correctly matched tooling and controlled recess dimensions.
Standards and ordering definition: ISO 7045, ISO 1580 and legacy DIN references may define dimensional geometry. They do not automatically establish Grade 5 titanium material properties. ASTM F468/F468M requirements are applied only when expressly specified and applicable to the ordered screw.

FAQ

What information is required to quote Grade 5 Titanium Machine Screws?

Provide the titanium grade, product form, dimensional standard or drawing, thread or critical dimensions, quantity, surface treatment, mating parts, service conditions and required inspection documents.

Which standards apply to Grade 5 Titanium Machine Screws?

ISO 7045, ISO 1580 and legacy DIN references may define dimensional geometry. They do not automatically establish Grade 5 titanium material properties. ASTM F468/F468M requirements are applied only when expressly specified and applicable to the ordered screw.

How are Grade 5 Titanium Machine Screws inspected?

Available controls include MTC review, head and recess measurement, overall and threaded length checks, GO/NO-GO thread gauging, visual examination, specified mechanical tests and heat/lot traceability.
