Product Detail
Product Introduction
Titanium Grade 1 Sheet & Plate is supplied for corrosion-resistant fabrication and precision manufacturing. The final purchase definition must identify the exact material designation, governing specification and revision, dimensions, condition, tolerances, tests and documentation; trade-name or cross-standard equivalence is not assumed.
Why choose Grade 1 sheet or plate?
Selection answer: Grade 1 is the most ductile commercially pure titanium grade in this group and is considered when deep forming or severe cold forming is more important than higher minimum strength.
Selection boundary: Do not substitute Grade 1 for Grade 2, 3 or 4 solely because all are commercially pure titanium. The drawing, forming route, required minimum strength and ordered ASTM B265 condition must support the choice.
RFQ data to confirm: State forming severity, thickness, flatness, surface, grain-direction requirements if relevant, and whether the order is sheet, plate or cut blanks.

Services We Can Provide
Product Packaging
Sheet and plate surfaces are interleaved or wrapped as required, protected at edges and secured on pallets or in export cases with grade, heat and dimensional identification. Typical export packaging for the same physical product form is shown below; final packing is confirmed for each order.

Application Scenarios

Chemical processing equipment
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Marine and desalination systems
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Industrial fabrication and precision components
Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.
Specification & Selection Notes
Product-standard boundary
ASTM B265/B265M covers annealed titanium and titanium-alloy strip, sheet and plate and identifies Grade 1 as UNS R50250 unalloyed titanium. ASME SB-265 may be required for an ASME construction, but it should be stated expressly rather than treated as an automatic equivalent. The order should identify the specification revision, Grade 1 / UNS R50250, sheet or plate form, final condition, dimensions and tolerances, flatness, surface, edge, quantity and documentation.
Inspection and traceability
Verify Grade 1 / UNS R50250 heat identity, chemistry, tensile properties and test orientation, final condition, thickness, width and length, flatness, surface and edges, marking, MTC and heat/lot traceability. For sheet or strip, any bend requirement should follow the governing specification. Ultrasonic testing, special surface examination or customer witness requires an agreed method and acceptance criteria.
Selection boundary
Grade 1 is the lowest-strength and generally most formable commercially pure titanium grade. Select it when the approved design values forming latitude and the Grade 1 strength level, rather than assuming it is interchangeable with Grade 2. Service chemistry, temperature, fabrication route, thickness and the governing equipment code remain part of material selection.
Technical FAQ
How does Grade 1 sheet differ from Grade 2 sheet?
Both are commercially pure titanium, but Grade 1 has a lower specified strength and generally greater forming latitude. Chemistry, mechanical requirements and approved design values must be checked before substitution.
Does ASTM B265 automatically mean ASME SB-265?
No. The required construction code and material specification should be stated on the order. Do not infer ASME acceptance from an ASTM designation without checking the applicable edition and project requirements.
