Product Detail

Product Introduction

Titanium Reducing Flange is a drawing- and standard-controlled titanium piping component. A complete order identifies titanium grade and source-material specification separately from flange dimensions, pressure class, facing, mating components, flange size, reduced line size, bore transition, hub, facing and pressure class, service conditions and inspection.

Additional Supply & Ordering Details

Useful, technically consistent information consolidated from earlier product pages.

Connection functionA reducing flange connects a larger flange size or bolt pattern to a smaller flow bore. The reduced bore, transition and piping arrangement require explicit design review.
Critical dimensionsState flange NPS and class, reduced bore or mating pipe size, facing, dimensional or drawing standard, transition geometry, hub or socket details, bolt drilling and grade.
Flow and fabrication boundaryReview pressure drop, erosion, dead legs, bore alignment, weld end or socket fit and code compliance. A standard flange with an undersized bore is not automatically an approved reducer.
Inspection focusInspect both nominal and reduced dimensions, transition profile, bore alignment, facing, bolt drilling, thickness, surface, marking and traceability.

FAQ

Does ASTM B381 define the flange dimensions?

No. ASTM B381 primarily covers titanium forgings. The order must separately identify the dimensional standard, class, facing and special geometry.

Can the flange be ordered from a generic sketch?

Critical pressure-boundary and connection geometry requires a controlled standard or approved drawing with revision and inspection requirements.

What should be included in the RFQ?

Provide grade, material and dimensional standards, sizes, class/PN, facing, bore, special geometry, quantity, service, NDE and certificates.
