Product Detail

Product Introduction

Titanium tees are a branch-fitting family that includes equal tees and reducing tees. The page is a selection hub: choose the branch configuration first, then define titanium grade, run NPS or OD, branch size, wall or schedule, center-to-end dimensions, weld ends, construction route and inspection.

What information distinguishes a titanium tee?

Selection answer: A titanium tee creates a branch connection and must be identified as equal or reducing. The run and branch sizes, wall or schedule, center-to-end dimensions, grade and manufacturing route control the order.

Selection boundary: Do not treat an equal tee and reducing tee as interchangeable. Branch reinforcement, formed or fabricated construction, weld seams, flow direction and piping-code acceptance must match the design.

RFQ data to confirm: Provide equal or reducing type, run and branch NPS or OD, wall or schedule, grade, dimensional standard or drawing, seamless or welded route, bevel, pressure and temperature, quantity, NDE and documents.

Selection and Configuration

  • Equal tee: Run and branch have the same nominal size; confirm wall and end preparation at all three ends.
  • Reducing tee: The branch is smaller than the run; state run size, branch size and schedule or wall separately.
  • Flow and layout: Define whether flow divides or combines, branch orientation, dimensional standard and any project-specific center-to-end limits.
Pressure-design note: Dimensional conformity does not by itself establish pressure rating. The piping designer must verify material allowable stress, wall thickness, weld joint, corrosion allowance, temperature and governing construction code.

FAQ

Is every titanium tee an equal tee?

No. Titanium tee is the product family. An equal tee has the same run and branch size, while a reducing tee has a smaller branch.

Which three dimensions must be stated?

State both run ends and the branch size, with wall or schedule and center-to-end dimensions.

Can an equal tee replace a reducing tee?

Only with a separately designed reducer and adequate space. The piping design, flow path and stress analysis control.
