Product Detail

Product Introduction

Grade 2 Titanium Button Head Socket Screws combine an internal-hex drive with a low rounded head and broad underside bearing surface. Selection must account for available wrenching depth, permitted head projection, bearing stress, required clamp load, thread engagement, mating material, tightening method and galling control.

Typical inquiry ranges are not a stock guarantee. Final manufacturability, tolerances and test requirements are confirmed against the complete RFQ.

Selection and Configuration

  • Head envelope: Define head diameter, height, bearing face and clearance around the rounded profile.
  • Drive capacity: Confirm socket size, key engagement and installation torque because the shallow head provides less drive depth than many standard socket heads.
  • Joint definition: Specify thread, fit, length, grip, engagement, mating material, washer use, preload method and service environment.
Standards and ordering definition: ISO 7380-1 or an expressly invoked ASME B18.3 geometry may be reviewed. The order must separately define titanium grade, condition, finished-screw acceptance, mechanical requirements, surface condition, testing and documentation.

FAQ

Why select a button head socket screw?

It provides a smooth low rounded profile and broad bearing face where a standard cylindrical socket head is too tall. Available drive depth and permitted tightening torque must still be checked.

Does ISO 7380-1 define the titanium material?

No. It can define geometry when invoked, while titanium grade, condition, mechanical acceptance, finish, tests and certificates must be specified separately.

Can a button head screw replace a standard socket head cap screw?

Not automatically. Head strength, socket depth, installation torque, bearing area, clamp load and clearance differ and require joint review.
