Product Detail

Product Introduction

Grade 12 Titanium Bar is supplied for corrosion-resistant fabrication and precision manufacturing. The final purchase definition must identify the exact material designation, governing specification and revision, dimensions, condition, tolerances, tests and documentation; trade-name or cross-standard equivalence is not assumed.

When should Grade 12 titanium bar be selected?

Selection answer: Grade 12 Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni is considered for machined or fabricated components requiring its combination of useful strength and corrosion performance in selected chemical, heat-transfer or elevated-temperature service.

Selection boundary: Do not treat Grade 12 as a universal upgrade over Grade 2, Grade 7 or a nickel alloy. Selection requires the actual medium, concentration, aeration, contaminants, temperature, crevice geometry, loads and fabrication route.

RFQ data to confirm: Send ASTM B348 revision, Grade 12 and UNS, section and length, condition, service chemistry and temperature, finished-part use, tolerances, inspection, certificates, quantity and destination for technical review.

FAQ

How does Grade 12 titanium bar differ from Grade 2?

Grade 12 contains nominal molybdenum and nickel and has different chemistry and mechanical requirements from commercially pure Grade 2. It is considered for selected corrosion and elevated-temperature duties, but suitability depends on the actual environment.

Is Grade 12 bar interchangeable with Grade 12 pipe or plate?

No. The alloy family may be the same, but product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, manufacturing routes and required tests differ. Order the correct product form and governing specification.

What information is needed for a Grade 12 bar quotation?

Provide ASTM B348/B348M revision, Grade 12 / UNS R53400, bar or billet form, diameter or section, length, condition, tolerance, straightness, surface, service medium and temperature, quantity, inspection, MTC and destination.
