Product Detail

Product Introduction

Titanium Flat Bar is solid rectangular flat bar selected when its section geometry reduces machining, improves material yield or supports the finished component design. Grade, dimensions, tolerances, condition and manufacturing route must be confirmed for the required section.

Additional Supply & Ordering Details

Useful, technically consistent information consolidated from earlier product pages.

Product-form boundaryTitanium flat bar is solid rectangular stock defined by thickness and width. It has no intentional through bore and is not interchangeable with hollow bar, tube or rectangular hollow section.
Dimensional definitionState thickness, width, cut length, edge condition, corner radius, flatness, camber or straightness, surface and machining allowance. An equivalent round size does not define flat stock.
Supply-route decisionRolled flat bar, forged flat, machined bar and strip cut from plate can have different grain orientation, edges, thickness capability and certification. Identify the acceptable source route.
Applications and inspectionFlat bar supports straps, brackets, frames and rectangular machined parts. Inspect thickness, width, edges, flatness, camber, length, surface and heat/lot traceability.

Application Scenarios

Chemical processing plant with industrial process piping

Bus bars, supports, straps and machined rectangular components

Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Wind turbines and solar panels at a renewable energy site

Aerospace, marine and chemical equipment

Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

Cargo vessel moored for marine service

CNC-machined custom titanium components

Material grade, dimensions, condition and inspection must be matched to the application requirements.

FAQ

Why order a shaped titanium bar instead of round bar?

A near-net section can reduce machining time and material removal when its tolerances and availability suit the finished part.

Does one standard cover every titanium bar shape?

No. Confirm that the invoked specification covers the grade, section and manufacturing route; special hollow or custom sections may use another approved specification.

What information is required for quotation?

Provide grade, specification, section dimensions and tolerances, length, quantity, condition, surface, tests and certificates.
