Product Introduction

Titanium spring pins are interference-fit hollow pins used for location, light retention or shear transfer where corrosion compatibility and low mass are important. Titanium elastic modulus, strength, springback and wear differ from common spring steels, so the pin section, free diameter, hole limits, insertion force and service load must be validated as a system.

Can a titanium spring pin directly replace a steel roll pin?

Not without engineering validation. Titanium stiffness, springback, strength and wear differ, so pin geometry, hole tolerance, insertion force and load capacity must be reviewed.

Which hole information is required?

Provide hole diameter and tolerance, material, wall thickness, finish, edge preparation and whether installation is manual or automated.

What functional tests can be specified?

Depending on the joint, sample insertion and retention force, shear, cyclic loading, corrosion exposure and post-installation dimensional checks may be agreed.
