Product Detail
Product Introduction
Grade 2 Titanium Fender Washers are flat washers with a relatively large outside diameter compared with the bolt hole. They spread bearing load over a wider area, but plate bending, washer dishing, edge distance, hole clearance and mating-material strength must be checked for the complete joint.
Product Specifications

Typical inquiry ranges are not a stock guarantee. Final manufacturability, tolerances and test requirements are confirmed against the complete RFQ.
Selection and Configuration
- Bearing area: Choose OD and thickness from the mating material, hole or slot size, edge distance and required bearing stress.
- Hole and fit: Define inside diameter and clearance for the fastener without allowing excessive eccentric loading.
- Stiffness and seating: Confirm washer flatness, thickness and support so the large washer does not dish or bridge an uneven surface.

Mechanical Properties – Grade 2 Material Reference
| Property | Annealed Grade 2 Material Reference Minimum |
|---|---|
| Ultimate tensile strength | 345 MPa (50 ksi) |
| 0.2% yield strength | 275 MPa (40 ksi) |
| Elongation | 20% |
Material values do not automatically establish finished-fastener loadability. Finished-part acceptance depends on geometry, manufacturing route, condition and the expressly invoked fastener specification or drawing.

Marine & Shipbuilding
Corrosion-resistant joints subject to galvanic, preload and service-condition review.
FAQ
Why use a fender washer instead of a standard flat washer?
Its larger OD distributes bearing load over more area and can bridge an oversized or slotted hole, subject to plate and washer stiffness checks.
Does a larger OD always improve the joint?
No. Insufficient thickness or uneven support can cause dishing or bending, and nearby edges can limit effective bearing area.
What dimensions should be stated?
Provide bolt size or ID, washer OD, thickness, flatness and edge requirements, quantity, mating material, tests and certificates.
