Additional Supply & Ordering Details
Useful, technically consistent information consolidated from earlier product pages.
| Grade-system boundary | TA1 is a Chinese commercially pure titanium designation ordered to an applicable GB/T or customer specification. Do not relabel it ASTM Grade 1 without explicit cross-standard chemistry, property and product-form review. |
|---|---|
| Wire definition | State diameter, tolerance, coil or spool form, unit weight, condition, surface, straight or continuous length, intended forming or fabrication and the exact controlling standard. |
| Processing focus | TA1 wire is commonly selected where commercially pure titanium ductility and corrosion behavior are required. Drawing reduction, annealing route, surface and residual cast must match downstream forming. |
| Inspection evidence | Request chemistry to the invoked TA1 document, mechanical tests when applicable, diameter mapping, surface examination, coil identity and heat/lot traceability. |

FAQ
Is TA1 automatically ASTM Grade 1?
No. They are designations from different standards systems. Any equivalence must be reviewed against the exact specifications, chemistry, properties, condition and product form.
What standard should appear on a TA1 wire RFQ?
State the applicable GB/T or customer specification and revision, plus diameter, condition, surface, packaging, tests and documents.
Is TA1 wire palladium alloyed?
No. TA1 is a commercially pure titanium designation. Palladium-alloyed ASTM Grade 7 is a different material family.
